FCSA is to host a live webinar in partnership with In House Recruitment to provide end hirers with a clear understanding of IR35, how it will affect the recruitment supply chain, and what the changes will mean for their business.
The forthcoming changes to IR35 in the private sector have been a big topic of conversation for some time. It will undoubtedly remain so in the coming months as employers, as well as agencies and contractors, get ready for the new rules to come into effect on 6 April 2021.
While HMRC’s main objective is to combat tax avoidance by Limited Company contractors, the impact of these changes is expected to be far-reaching, from the top of the supply chain down to the bottom.
Join us for this free webinar to be presented by FCSA Chair and JSA Group Director of Accounting Services, Chris James, for an easy-to-understand explanation of IR35 and off-payroll reforms, how it will affect the recruitment supply chain, and what the changes mean for employers of contractors who work through a Limited Company.
What’s more, you will have the opportunity to ask Chris those all-important IR35 questions in a Q&A at the end of the presentation.
This webinar is a must-attend for HR professionals who engage Limited Company contractors in their business in particular those with hands-on responsibility for managing the implementation of any changes within the business to comply with the new off-payroll rules.
Since 2018, Chris James has served as the FCSA Chair and has been a member of the organisation’s Board since 2017. He is also Director of Accounting Services at FCSA Accredited Member firm, JSA Group.
Chris held a varied client portfolio while qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, ranging from small sole traders to large audited corporates. A specialism in contractors led to a move to the sector in 2014, since then Chris has worked with HMRC, BEIS, and Treasury policy-makers amongst others on matters related to IR35, the gig economy, and contractors in particular. He is a regular and enthusiastic speaker on employment status, recruitment supply chains, and related subjects.
