The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA), the UK’s largest trade association for professional employment services, has formed a partnership with online accountancy software provider, Nomisma.
Founded in 2013 by Managing Director Sumit Agarwal, Nomisma has already helped some 2,500 clients with a range of accountancy services specifically designed for accountants and the freelancers and contractors they support. The company was formed when Agarwal developed the software to assist him in the running of his accountancy practice DNS and the software continues to be recognised as extremely valuable by a growing number of accountancy practices.
Commenting on joining forces with FCSA, Sumit Agarwal said: “Nomisma is pleased to be partnering with FCSA and to help its members to better serve the contractors and freelancers they support. We were keen to work with FCSA because we share the same passion and values. FCSA has a strong representative voice for the professional employment services in the UK – it listens to its members and responds accordingly and we look forward to working with FCSA members and providing a software service to help make their accountancy processes more efficient.”
FCSA represents professional employment services such as umbrella employers and accountancy service providers and was set up in 2008 to set the benchmark for those working in the industry. It works tirelessly to protect contractors and freelancers and drive up standards in a historically unregulated industry.
Julia Kermode, FCSA’s chief executive added: “We are delighted to welcome Nomisma on board as a partner and look forward to working with Sumit and his team. Nomisma is a company that clearly understands the needs of accountants in our sector and will provide our members with a first class accountancy service and solution that will help them to better support the UK’s freelancers and contractors they work with.”
