We Contract becomes latest FCSA Accredited Member

The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA) is pleased to announce that We Contract has demonstrated full adherence to the FCSA Code of Compliance and is now a fully accredited member.  To become an accredited member, applicants must undergo a rigorous independent assessment of its business services, operations, policies and processes established by FCSA following extensive liaison with HMRC.

FCSA’s Compliance Code is designed to demonstrate to Government, as well as freelancers, contractors and recruiters looking for a service provider, that a company is financially stable, provides high quality professional services and operates to the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Compliance with the Code is verified and validated by independent assessors who are regulated accountants and lawyers, and a copy of the review documentation is lodged with HMRC for full transparency.

We Contract was established in the UK in 2013 by founders David Wilde and Richard Baxendale to provide freelancers, contractors and recruiters with umbrella and payroll services.  On becoming a fully accredited member of FCSA, Richard Baxendale said: “We are extremely pleased to be recognised by FCSA and delighted that We Contract is now a fully accredited member.  Our hard work has paid off and it is a great way to end 2017.  We aim to be the most efficient and effective employment intermediary in the market, putting compliance at the heart of an outstanding service and improving the transparency of the contracting chain right up to the end client.  We now look forward to working with FCSA in 2018 in our mission to drive up standards in our sector.  Our sector has come in for some criticism recently, so we are pleased to have proven our credentials through FCSA accreditation, and the more firms that strive to pass FCSA’s stringent test the better for our industry.”

Julia Kermode, FCSA’s chief executive added: “I am delighted that We Contract has been able to meet the extremely high standards required to become a fully accredited member of FCSA.  It is an achievement to be celebrated and I am looking forward to working with Richard and Dave and their team.

“FCSA accredited membership is the quality mark that every freelancer, contractor and recruiter should look for when choosing a professional services company.  By working with an FCSA accredited member they can have peace of mind that they are going to receive a reliable, responsible, and a proven fully compliant service that has been independently tested.”
